Hi all!

Is there some kind of bug connected with timezone and "next day starts at"?

I like to have new cards appear several hours after midnight, and I had "next day starts at" set to 8am for several years.

Recently I moved from Russia to USA, and I noticed that new cards stopped to appear in the morning and I have to wait till afternoon or to manually initiate "Custom study". I played with settings and noticed that if I set "next day starts at" to 0, I get new cards at 8am.

So my question is, in what timezone is this "next day starts at" and are there bugs in this?

Make sure to correctly set the timezone and time on your device based on your new location. This will change the value of "Next day starts at", which you then need to set back to 8am.

It can also be one hour different from what you might expect due to daylight savings. This is a design decision by Anki Desktop which we need to follow to maintain compatibility.

Hi,

I am from Europe I was on a holiday in America and I had the same problem. Ankidroid did not accept change of timezone and scheduled cards appeared during a day (not at night). Time on my phone was correct.

You could try asking in the Anki Desktop/AnkiWeb forum for advice on how to handle such traveling situations. I also travelled from Europe to the US last year, but can't recall having had this problem.
