Hi,

as mentioned, id'like to ask if there is a possibility to make flashcards with drawings, and not with typing in something on the android-tablet using AnkiDroid.
I use a tablet-Pen and in my opinion it is not productive to type in Latex-formula on the android-device.
I know there will be no name or text on the flashcards, they could just be progressively enumerated.
If that is possible, I would even pay money for the app, but if not I really don't know how it can be useful to me :(

(device Sam.Gal. Note 10.1, AnkiDroid v2.0.4)

PS: I searched for like 2 hours for this problem, I hope I didn't miss an existing solution :)

with best regards,
Iffs

Hi, with the current Google Play version, you can make flashcards with images on your PC, and then synchronize with your Android device; i.e. you can't add images directly from AnkiDroid.

However, if you would like to test the latest beta version, you can add images directly from your Android device. You can become a tester following the instructions below:

Hi Iffs,

Does the issue below describe what you want?
https://code.google.com/p/ankidroid/issues/detail?id=730

Please "star" it to receive updates.
Any volunteer to implement this feature? Not too difficult and many people ask for it.

Cheers!
Nicolas Raoul

Hi Raoul,

that is pretty much what I want yes, I "star"'ed  it. The key functionality would be the ability to make a flashcard without being forced to use the keyboard once.
Just click on the deck where a card should be added, and then front-button: draw something (normally text or formula^^), back-button: draw something, add to deck - flashcard-making successful.
The post is from 2k11. I think if people would be able to do that with AnkiDroid, the number of AnkiDroid-users would explode. That would mean a point-blank improvement, and not a single app does allow that! Its really a mystery for me that this post is online since 3 years and devs don't see its potential by now. I should take a picture of the lecture rooms where every 3rd person owns a tablet with 300+ students. Every single person a potential customer^^.
So many people I know learn with paper-flashcards and have a tablet/touchscreen device and don't have the time/resources to use Latex or similar. Ok, I begin to be a bit too emotional, sorry for that, I'll try stop my babbling :D

I would try to implement that, but don't have time for this atm.

With kind regards,
Iffs.

In my personal case, studying languages, I wouldn't want to draw that in. But no doubt there are people who would rather.

Amigo,

Tiago.

ifeelfor, if you didn't catch that post, you should translate it -- that user seems to accomplish just what you are looking for, more or less.

(yay! -- from my spanish and little portuguese study, I could read all that as it is :-)
