Like projecting your Android phone's screen to your TV?
Reviewing on big screen is probably something a proportion of AnkiDroid users would do.

I only use chromecast to project from my computer's screen, so I am not aware about any advanced feature.

Could you please detail several ways how it could work?
Can the chromecast device itself actually run Android apps?

Cheers!

The Chromecast can't run an android app. But it can show a content sent by the app, a youtube video for exemple. In this case, the phone is only a remote.
For AnkiDroid, I think it can be a good idea to send the content of the card to the Chromecast, and to answer on the phone. It can be very useful if it is well done.

So, would we need a special UI on the phone itself?

Or can we just keep the same UI on the phone, and just project the card+answer to the screen?

Thanks!

During casting, users shouldn't be able to see the card content, just the buttons, while the card content are on the TV screen.
