Error update node version on x64

Hi,

I am trying to update node on my 64 bit machine and getting the below error. What is the workaround any help is appreciated?

C:\Users\Nitin\angular-7>npm install -g n

npm ERR! code EBADPLATFORM

npm ERR! notsup Unsupported platform for n...@6.5.1: wanted {"os":"!win32","arch":"

any"} (current: {"os":"win32","arch":"x64"})
