Case insensitive sort for grid control

I am trying to implement case insensitive sort for the grid control. But not understanding how to use it. MatSort is used for sorting.

have you tried looking at lodash?  on one project, i rolled my own, but one of my team mates told me about that and cud have saved myself some frustration.
