I have tried all latest versions of android-x86, but I did not manage to see webcam working properly. It is an Aspire V5 with AMD E1 2100 processor with RADEON HD graphics, KABINI.

Any app when trying to use the webcam shows only a frozen shot of my curious face in front of it.....

All other system functions  seem to work fine under any of these android versions.

best regards!

Does the webcam work with normal Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Fedora, etc)?

It's a USB camera as expected (handled by uvcvideo driver).
However, the camera HAL may not handle it properly.
Indeed our camera HAL is a little old. It hasn't been updated
for a long time.

You may provide logcat for debugging,
or you can try to trace the bug yourself.
On the other hand, you can try to adjust the property (e.g., 4:3 0.3M)
of the camera to see if any one will work.
