Android x86 8.1-r2 VMWare Player 15.1 no Network

Good day,

i tried on two different Hosts: After upgrade form 7.1-r2 or 8.1-r1 to current 8.1-r2  there is no Network or WiFi in VMware. Emulated network adapter e1000 does not work in bridged/nat mode.

It works well  7.1-r2 or 8.1-r1 . Any workaround or fix?

I ran into the same issue. When upgrading from 7.1 or 8.1r1. Wifi wouldn't turn on and there was no virt-wifi connection.

The only workaround for me was to perform a fresh install of 8.1r2 onto the same VM (I just wiped the vmdk beforehand).

I didn't research it further as it solved the problem.

i played a litttle bit with.

Finally i replaced  /data/misc/wifi from working copy and...success:)
