Good morning all!

I managed to install quite easily Android-X86 using the .iso and VMWare.

I'm however struggling to:
1) Use the Bluetooth from my computer (just bought a dongle to try the USB port)
2) Have full HD or 1920x1200 resolution

I have tried to:
a) Increase VRAM memory  (svga.vramSize = "268435456" in config file)
b) add to grub "nomodeset xforcevesa video=1920x1080"
c) add to grub "vga=ask" (it's asking resolution but not FHD or 1920x1200)
d) add to grub "UVESA_MODE=1920x1080"

Nothing works. When I remove nomodeset, I can see the proper screen size but it remains black.

I've read a lot of things/forums on the Internet, but nothing seems to work. Any idea?
Is it a driver issue?

Regards,
Francois

Hi, you need to use an iso with kernel-4.9

Thank you!

Do you know if one compiled image already has this kernel on the x86 website?

Yes, the standard builds for 7.1-r4 and cm14.1-r4 both use the 4.9 kernel, while for 8.1-r5 and 9.0-r2 you need to pick the k49 version.

Thank you.
I managed to launch the image on WMWare but I stay stuck on the console...
Do you know where I could find information on how to make it work? I will try to search more here... All this is very new to me.

Regards,

Francois

I tried both 8.1 and 9.0. Will try 7.1 and CM14.1 later tonight.

Thanks again!

I definitely can't make it work. Don't know why the GUI isn't launching.
Will open new topic to get some (paid) support.

Thanks
