Ip not assigned to bridge interface

Hi All, 

I'm using bridge interface as tethering interface for hostapd (AP) role. But ip address is not getting assigned and dnsmasq is not running whereas if I use some other interface other than bridge, ip is getting assigned and dnsmasq is running. 

Please advise.
