OV5640 MIPI V3 Camera Orientation

Hi All,

I am using the OV5640 MIPI V3 camera with IMX8 Board in Android 9 Automotive. I need to change the camera orientation.

Format : 1080P

Resolution : 1920x1080

Frame Rate: 30FPS

But video quality is very low.

Please find the attachment and let me know the configuration for increasing the video quality and camera rotation.

I did the following ,

{0x3820, 0x47, 0, 0}, {0x3821, 0x01, 0, 0}, {0x3814, 0x31, 0, 0},

But, It dose not work as per this datasheet,

Hi VinothS,

This is something you can take up with OV5640 vendor (I suppose its omnivision). It has nothing to do with android-platform. Regarding rotation you can do s/w rotation inside android but that will again slow down preview. Better to get correct register configuration from vendor or look for upstream driver.
