Hello everyone, 
Though Play Store apps are said to be compatible with Chrome OS, it seems the opposite when it comes to a ChromeBox that I have (hp G1). Is there any way we could install AndBible into these devices please?

I don't have chromebox but I suppose you should be able to install it normally via Play store.

Yes that's what I thought too till I came across that install process to find out that there is an exclusion list of Chromebox/ Chromebooks that do have access to Play Store but couldn't allow app installation...

Any way, np. My Acer R11 still works though it is seems to have some latency issues for Page Loads with the new app features

I have used AB on a chrome book a lot and it works great. But you need to ensure that the chrome book you have supports the Play Store. I bought one 3 years ago that said it did but it then took a year for it to become available.

Once it is available, just install it as you would any android app.

Was the issue that Play Store is not available on that device, or that And Bible is not found in Play Store? If latter, we should create a ticket and try to resolve why.

It's unlikely to be the later unless there is some weird criteria we have set limiting it's installation. My original problem was that i did not have Play Store.

Hp G1 Chromebox seems doesn't support Play Store

Hi Tuomas/ Andrew, 
just trying to migrate to another new android device but after installing AB, I can't RESTORE db or document files from DRIVE, though I have multiple backup copies of the same there from my previous devices. 

In the RESTORE Window, I could navigate to DRIVE but once inside that particular AB folder, no items are visible. 

Also when I tried to do a BACKUP from this new device, it won't even open up DRIVE folders but only shows LOCAL LEVEL Folder (like DOWNLOAD). 
Seems something ain't right !!!!

Tried manually copying database & document backup files to local folder (download) & still can't access from AB. See screenshot below

Would someone please assist on this matter?  
Problem: Trying to install AB in a new Chromebook.But upon RESTORE (my previously saved backup files - database/ document, from DRIVE), nothing is seen in that location. Please see the snapshot sent earlier.

Thats a hard one to diagnose from a far. Its unlikely to be And Bible. I am not aware that that problem has happened before. I assume you have added the Google account correctly? Is it using the correct Google account? Have you tried using the zip file install?

I tried my old R11 Chromebook & noticed the same this morning. Both these devices act weired now ... none shows saved backup data🤔

I'll check it out later again & will update

Btw, where is Zip backup option that I may give it a try.
Will it zip database & docs please?

Here is a screenshot from my old Chromebook when I try to do a RESTORE of backup files from DRIVE. This device used to be ok & I have made many many backups of AB database & docs from it over these years. But when I access DRIVE directly, all those files are still there. Is there any new updates to AB thatś causing this issue?  Also I have notices a different blue/ black background icon now for AB which used to be just a black background before. Please advise
