Sir/Madam,

 

29th Service Improvement Group (SIG) Meeting scheduled under the chairperson-ship of Additional Secretary, Logistics Division, DPIIT

on 10th March 2026 at 04:00 PM in Room No. 117, Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi.

 

The meeting will be held in hybrid mode to enable participation of concerned Ministries/Departments and industry stakeholders.

 

2.  The meeting has been convened to deliberate upon the issues relating to due to ongoing West Asia Region Crisis resulting in Congestion Vessel scheduling, detention/ground rent charges and other logistics-related issues faced by shipping lines and logistics operators due to supply chain disruptions.

 

While meetings are being conducted by other Concerned ministries for issues faced by Exporters/ shippers etc, the SIG would focus on going logistical challenges faced by Industry,

co-ordination and support required among the stakeholders like Shipping line, NVOCC, Ports, CFS, ICD and Rail operators, FFFAI/CHAs, FICCI, Assocham etc and support required by these stakeholders from each other and also from Government agencies to initiate corrective measures. 

 

The brief agenda of the meeting is as follows:

 

Ø  Discussion with shipping lines, CFS, Rail operators and logistics service providers.

Ø  Deliberation on possible mitigation measures and way forward.

 

3.      In this regard, all Industry Associations are requested to consult their respective members and share a consolidated note on the issues being faced,

including specific issues and along with any suggested mitigation measures by tomorrow 2 pm 
 

4.      Industry Associations are also requested to ensure appropriate representation during the meeting.

Outstation participants may also join the meeting virtually using the credentials provided in the meeting notice.
