Site Update Coming Soon

Hi Crew, 

Sometime in the next couple weeks AW will be continuing our website infrastructure upgrades. You might recall that we are moving our main website (not the NWI/ river pages) to Wordpress so we can better engage paddlers in our river advocacy work. Leading up to that we need to change how we are hosting the NWI which is also part of our ongoing work to modernize it and make it easier to innovate on. Nothing should change for people visiting the site or making edits through the website. However, if you are using old/bookmarked links to do things in the NWI these pages may no longer be accessible. Examples could be old gauge pages and old virtual gauge pages that are not accessible through the current website interface.

One of the fun outcomes of this work is that when sharing pages from the NWI on social media, it will actually display the right link, image, and summary of the page instead of general AW content. 

If you find that any important functionality is no longer accessible in the coming weeks, we want to know. Feedback is helpful and appreciated. Respond here or keep in touch if you have any issues. Thanks!

Hopefully with the switch to wordpress we will regain the ability to look at revision history for content. This is a huge issue when it comes to multiple people adding content for one reach and potentially adding incorrect or misleading information. We need a way to revert to a previous version before that information is lost.
