We had a great turnout and wonderful weather for today’s ride. By the time we reached the dog park, our group had narrowed down to five or six riders as others headed home; I hope everyone else had a smooth and uneventful ride back.
We had an incident involving a young fawn that ran between the wheels of a bicycle. Fortunately, the cyclists were able to stay upright and no one was injured.
Sadly the fawn was injured during the encounter. Mike S. found the fawn in the road and moved her to the edge of the woods, where he stayed with her until the team from Otterspace Wildlife arrived to transport her to their facility in Hilliard.
A special thank you to Mike for his kindness and quick action in caring for the fawn.

We have asked Otterspace for an update on "our" fawn. We're also working on a name and a fundraiser. Since the little deer hit our cyclist's pedal that seems natural. "Pedal" What do you think?
