With Peter's Point parking lot packed with transport trucks for the car show, we started from the gas station near Harris Teeter. Three who don't subscribe to the google group emails, therefore didn't get the message, started from Peters Point. Everyone caught up at the Burney Road rest stop. Snow Birds are starting to move north for the season with two regulars making this their last ride before heading back to St. Louis. We missed Amy who was nursing a sore arm from all the BRAG volunteer riding she did. Approaching our Nassau River rest stop the trail under the bridge was filled with sand. Out of caution I stood on one pedal and road like a scooter through the sand. When we arrived at the fishing bridge, birds filled the air over either a fish that was just caught or a spilled bait bucket. After a nice social rest stop, we had a clean start with no sand thanks to Mike S who sweep the sand out of the trail. ... Rich W

We received word that Joe W. is home from knee surgery and on the mend. Keep him in your thoughts and reach out when possible.

Another fun bike ride, on a beautiful day.  Thanks again for leading, Rich.  Thanks also go out to Mike S for sweeping the sand off the sidewalk, and for the good news about Joe W.

PS:  I love the photos, especially the Nash Rambler convertible!  Well done, Rich.

Hi Everyone

Thanks for the warm welcome and great conversations over the last five weeks of cycling with all of you.  We plan to be back on September 30th for a week and then back again late next January.  Everyone stay upright with no crashes and healthy until we see you again.

Paula and George
