The predicted fog did not arrive, so the time delay was not needed. Some riders had commitments and decided to ride at the regular time or earlier. For the 10am start the weather was perfect, no need to decide on what to wear, it was summer kit for sure. We were happy that Rocky has come south and joined us for the ride. George's route from last week was followed thus avoiding 4 flaggers at one lane sections between Fort George Bridge and the Ferry Landing, 2 in each direction. 

What a wonderful party for Dan L at the Brain Trust, it was a good sized gathering taking up the whole end of the restaurant with big cakes laid out on the tables. Many thanks to Kathleen for organizing the whole event, as we all know she is such a kind and generous person. We hope that Dan will use some of those free airline trips to come down from Maryland to visit us in the future.
