Wednesday Ride Report 7-08

Hi everyone,

We had another great Wednesday Social Trail Ride today with nine cyclists. Although a few riders had to cut the outing short due to the heat, it was a successful day that included a local baby gopher tortoise attending our safety briefing. We also saw many other cyclists enjoying the Amelia Island Greenway Trail, and the fishing pier was quite active.

As a reminder to our Ride Leaders: please feel free to start rides earlier to help manage the current heat.

IMPORTANT: We still need a ride leader for Friday, 7/17.
Here is the upcoming schedule:
  - 7/13 (Monday), 9 AM: Amelia River Waterfront Park – Jim Halle
  - 7/14 (Tuesday), 9 AM: Baxter’s to Mayport Ferry – Rich Wilcox
  - 7/15 (Wednesday), 9 AM: Social Trail Ride at Peter's Point – John Ginn 
  - 7/16 (Thursday), 9 AM: Main Beach – Jack Spanner
  - 7/17 (Friday), 9 AM: "Joe's Friday Special" – [Leader Needed]
  - 7/18 (Saturday), 9 AM: Main Beach Ride – Susan Taylor
  - 7/19 (Sunday), 8 AM: Payman's Revenge (48 miles)
