The Friday "Special" will depart from SuperCorsa at 9AM.  Route will be modified to turn around at Ft. George Inlet as long as the construction continues on Heckscher Dr.

It'll be hot so bring enough water to stay hydrated.

All,

Eight riders met at SuperCorsa for this week's Friday Special.  It was hot (a four-bottle day for me)  but thankfully there was cloud cover so the sun wasn't beating on us.  Safety brief covered, we rode south on the modified route since there's STILL construction at Ft. George Inlet.  We traveled back through the trails on Big and Little Talbot Islands.  No mechanicals or flats to report.  I came across this fiddler crab (so said the ranger on Little Talbot) on the bike path.  I would have carried him to the ocean (about 100+ yards away) but he only showed me his claws and I didn't have anything to carry him in.  I decided to respect his "claws" and left him on his own.

Six met at V's for the Brain Trust.

Thanks for the great photos and fun ride report.  The little crablet looks like a baby ghost crab, to me, the kind that do live on the beaches.  Fiddlers like the mud.  I've seen the ghost crabs on pavement, too.  The ranger gave good advice.  I do like the Talbot Islands rangers; they are hard-workers and super-nice.
