Good evening all
I have a quick question, please...
After making a new disk image with altair_tools, is there something else that needs to be done to make it R/W accessible?

I finally figured out that you need to use PIP to initialize the disk image before it can be utilized. 🤦‍♂️

Hi,

Neat, can you post a list of steps how to do initialize a disk image?

I wonder if this could work on .DSK files too, to turn a basic .DSK into a BOOTable CP/M .DSK disk?

Please explain what you do with PIP to "initialise" a disk. Your comment doesn't make sense to me since I thought Pip only worked in the userspace of the disk, and doesn't fill the directory with hex E5 which CLRDIR and other utilities can do.
Richard.

This is a utility called PIP that came with Basic but is not related to CP/M, it just happens both were named PIP.
