I apologize for missing the BPAC meeting a few days ago.

I would like to know if BPAC is continuing to advocate for the Braddock Road plan, which I appreciate. Of course it will come up again in the Appeal at the
City Council public hearing meeting to be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026,

I live in Rosemont and a few people have become active and vocal on our listserve in opposition to this plan. Of course the loss of parking is always contentious and focuses opposition. The loss of parking near the Good Shepherd Church and of the turn lane at Braddock and Russell seem to be of most concern to some.

There is an effort to raise this issue again tonight at our meeting of the Rosemont Community Association (RCA), to collect support for their Appeal Petition and they want to present this for a vote of support by the RCA.

I'd rather not rehash this but it may come up tonight.

Does anyone know of a good summary of the points supporting the Braddock Corridor Improvement Plan, and does anyone else plan to be at the RCA meeting tonight (3/19)?

Thank you
Paul Leiby

Hi Paul,

I actually think the article in the Brief is a good summary.
Thanks for your support! Yes, we will be continuing to advocate. We are planning a kids postcard making event after spring break. Please keep talking to council. As a neighbor your opinion is very important! We have scheduled some walk through with councilors and invited them to the helmet decorating event in preparation for the Saint Patrick’s day parade. Four of them attended, and we had good conversations.

Best,
Asa
