Hi all. Thanks to all of you for the great day of ultimate. Other than the not-so-wise layout for that tipped disc on the penultimate point, I had a lot of fun today. And thanks to everyone for the efforts to pull my shoulder back into place, the use of the sling, the multitude of offers for rides to the ER, help getting my cleats off and stuff together to leave, and especially the ride to the Urgent Care in Berkeley.
I had to go over to the ER at Alta Bates as the Urgent Care folks didn't want to mess with my shoulder given the previous displacement. The triage team in the ER also was not able to pull the shoulder back in place, so we had to do the semi-sedation drill (same as the previous time several years back), and even then the attending doctor had to call for additional assistance to get my shoulder back in place.
But, it is back in place and is just a bit sore. I'll let you know what the recovery plan is once I've seen my orthopedic surgeon. I'm hopeful that the rotator cuff is fine and I'll just need more PT to rehab it.
Lepley...I'll see about dropping off the sling next week, or let me know if you want it sooner and I'll find a way to get it to you.
Cheers. Donald
