instructor cancellation

Hello all,

 

I’m sorry to share that the previously planned in-person instructor for the 2024 ASA workshop had to cancel unexpectedly and will no longer be able to join us in June. Additionally, the online instructor is unavailable to give the workshop completely remotely (they were relying on the in-person instructor for portions of the workshop that they would be unable to attend).

 

I will do my best to find a replacement so that a workshop can still take place. As a last resort, the previously planned online instructor may still be willing to give a shortened workshop at the times they are available.

 

For now, I am going to pause registration for the workshop. If you have already registered and would like a refund now, please follow the Eventbrite instructions for this and you will be refunded in full. If you would prefer to wait and see what happens, that is fine as well- the event page and registration process will be the same if I manage to find a new instructor.

I have a pleasant update which is that new instructors have been secured for the 2024 ASA Workshop! Dr. Christopher Rota and Dr. Kenneth Kellner will be giving a 2-day workshop about multi-species occupancy modeling. To see more information and register, please go to the workshop website here. If you were already registered and would like to remain so, you do not need to do anything. If you were already registered and would no longer like to attend, please follow Eventbrite’s instructions to receive a full refund.

 

Again, please feel free to share the workshop website link with anyone that may be interested. Hope to see you in Fairbanks!
