AIS Disaster Plan - Please Help Update Your Information

We need your help to update the Emergency Contacts portion of the American Iris Society Disaster plan.  For each Board Member, Administrative Officer, and Committee Chair, there should be one or more Emergency Contacts listed. 

Please send your Emergency Contact's name(s), email, and phone(s) details to Wayne Messer wrme...@gmail.com so we can update our list.

It doesn't look like it has been updated since 2011!  Thanks for doing this to change all the names associated with offices, committees, etc.  I'll send mine separately.

The update of Appendix A should be done at the fall meeting each year.  That's when the committee chairs are appointed.  Maybe if we make it an agenda item we will

actually do it.

Looks like we also need a place (archive folder?) to store committee procedures if they have them.  I have a lengthy write up of the Affiliate renewal and 990n submission processes.

Hi Wayne,

After looking over the Disaster plan, it appears that this only applies to AIS board members and committee Chairmen.  Is that correct?  I have had a number of GNOIS Board members ask why they should be submitting this to the AIS.

Yes Cathy,

It does apply specifically only to AIS functions.  However, I do think it would be useful for Regions, Sections, and Affiliates to go through a similar exercise and create their own disaster plan.  Not to report it to AIS; just for their own peace of mind.
