Hi,
reair is build on java8, while hadoop still doesn't support it officially (https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-11090).
Does your hadoop infrastructure migrated to java8? or it is still possible to use reair with hadoop on jdk1.7?

Yeah, we have Java 1.8 deployed on our clusters and haven't seen any issues so far.

Hi all, 

I have my re-air cloned from GitHub code on JDK 1.8. However the cluster where I propose to run it, runs on JDK 1.7. Is it possible to still run both (hive hooks, batch job) without any code change. And if there comes the need for code changes, what are the significant files where changes needs to be proposed ?

My guess is that you'll run into compatibility issues as the code makes use of Java 8 language features in many parts. It can't hurt to try though?
