Dear Alvise

I am pleased to draw your attention to the Institute for Computer Music and Sound Technology’s residency program.

The program offers artists the opportunity to realize their own projects and to benefit from scientific and artistic research at the ICST during a stay at the Zurich University of the Arts. It further aims to strengthen the exchange with the artistic community in current research fields.

In 2025, the program features residencies in Spatial Synthesis (Studio Residency), Klavierautomat (Algorithmic Composition), Moving Loudspeakers, and Dance and Generative AI. The residencies include the use of infrastructure and facilities, professional support from ICST researchers, as well as meals and lodging. Musicians and artists working with sound and sound media, whose work reflects an in-depth interest in one of the mentioned research areas, are welcome to apply.

The submission deadline for applications is 1 September 2024. Detailed information on themes and conditions is available at: zhdk.ch/icst-air
