Hollow dummy, Kayode,

I don't want to waste time on your ignorance.
The Persian Gulf or Arabian Gulf is an international waterway/passage way because it's used by:

Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain & Iran. All of them deserve access to that passageway . That's what makes it a natural international waterway because it serves more than one country.
It has been there and like that since king Nebuchadnezzar & king Cyrus the great.
When did Iran construct the Strait of Hormuz? Iran cannot block the Arabian Gulf without consensus from all; that’s an act of war.

Debating with you is like pulling teeth.

When there is a private road leading to your neighbor and your house, it's called a common access way/route. Before a City permits your plans, both of you must provide a common area/access route agreement which must be signed, notarized and recorded in the Court.

That's to prevent what Iran is doing now. Or tomorrow your neighbor sells his house to an Igbo man because he is tired of seeing you walking naked and peeing on that private road every day. Then crazy Kayode would shout:
Heell Noooo!!!
No inyanmiri, Igbo man will use "my private road". You block the road with your juju and some tree brances. All the Igbo man/new homeowner should do is simply call 311 and complain to the City.

The City would pull the permit/signed, notarized, recorded common easement agreement and come after your ugly face.

Kayode would be shouting: he is an inyanmiri! I don't want him to use my road. The City would ask you:
Are you the fool who signed this document?
You would respond: Ye ye ye yes!! But that was with Oha 1 with Buska as witness.

Then the City would  say:
Sharraaaaap!!! Ewu private road!!

Do you understand it now?

I know that it's beyond your knowledge. Thats why you're confused about it. But you're more intelligent than Nebukadimonkey Adiele and you can learn from me.

The width of the Hormuz is 21 Nautical Miles and international waters starts from 12 Nautical Miles from a landed territory. If you do that maths: 12 Nautical Miles from Iran plus 12 Nautical Miles from Oman, equals 24 Nautical Miles. If you subtract 21 Nautical Miles (the width of the Strait of Hormuz) from 24 Nautical Miles (the distance between Iran and Oman), you will get 3 Nautical Miles which also belongs to both Iran and Oman. That's why Hormuz is not in the international waters. If Iran or Oman takes the case to the International Court of Justice today, it would win the case of ownership of the Strait of Hormuz handedly and America would lose.

If you're still confused about it, go do a PhD in Geomorphology and Map Reading or International Law or ask me questions. I'll be here to help you.

Kayusee,

You're technically wrong.

Iran is using the tolling as a strategy amongst militarily weaker countries to aggravate the west (especially the US) and other US allies in the gulf to put pressure on the US and Israel to cease the attack on it.

The strait serves about 5 or so countries including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman etc..
Technically Iran cannot enforce toll as it shares the same territorial water as the other countries in the gulf.

At it's narrowest point, the strait is approximately 20 or so miles wide, and although I think Iran has the longest shoreline on the northern side, it can only claim half of that legally.
Historically, Iran claims more than that.

Someone, I think CA quoted UNCLOS(UN Convention on the Law of the Sea). Iran is not a signatory but it typically follows rules allowing for "innocent passage," which means vessels can pass through as long as they do not threaten the peace or security of the country. But that rule can be withdrawn at the time of war legally.

So, really, it depends on which side you fall and from what angle you want to view Irans action. In any case, the gulf states are all against Iran monopolizing the use or control of the strait, and rightly so.

If ships are able to navigate in the territorial waters of other surrounding gulf state, Iran will be flouting international law, which theoretically it didn't sign up to. Iran is a bully and a rogue state that had cowered it's Gulf neighbours.

These are issues which politically naive and dumb Trump and his cowboys war fighter command fail to appreciate and anticipate. European, NATO and others are mindful about when he wanted them to join a stupidly and incompetently prosecuted war to join.

The hullabaloo along the strait of Hormuz is the US and Israel pigeon, let them deal with it. Everyone is hurting but the US will hurt more.

There is usually more than one way to cook an egg satisfactorily, the US chose the wrong method. Let them deal with the outcome!

Femi,

Too much "turenchi"
What makes you think hollow dummy Kayode understands your explanation? You must explain it to him in vernacular (Yoruba) for him to eventually, eventually, understand. It's like teaching Pa Jimoh. Now, you understand why some teachers in Nigeria secondary schools have to use cane to flog some students.

Kayode is still busy measuring the nautical miles from strait of Hormuz to Iran's Shoreline. Then he would subtract 12 nautical miles and give Oman & Qatar 12 miles and then he would become confused and start cursing everybody for his lack of comprehension.

You wrote: "Everyone is hurting but the US will hurt more"

You don't get it! What has USA got to lose?
USA produces more oil than Saudi Arabia. It has strategic oil reserves which it doesn't have to touch because, it now has oil from Venezuela.

Knowing Trump's art of the deal, Iran just handed Trump a gift by giving him the excuse to blockade the Strait of Hormuz. Trump can block this strait for 1 year until everyone starts paying him including Iran.

This is a high cutthroat diplomatic chess game.
All Europe, China, Gulf States, etc will eventually beg Trump to lift the blockade for a fee. This is the opportunity Trump has been waiting for to deal with Europe.

Femi, you better go and buy a bicycle, if you don't have any.

CA,

Art of the deal from someone that has declared bankruptcy several times? I wonder what criteria you use to choose your heroes?

Yes. The US has all the oil in the world.
What is your pre-war price of fuel at the pump and what is it now?

Just keep fooling yourself and being as stupid as you normally argue on Nigerian matters. You're always on the losing side. Please, don't make it a habit and getting too used losing. It's not comforting!

Kayusee,

Now you're reverting to type.

Once a new treaty is signed, the old treaty becomes obsolete. Yes or No?

If the US and Iran did not sign the so-called 1978 treaty (as you checked on Google), they are at liberty to flaunt it.

The US and Iran had always typically followed the rules allowing for "innocent passage," which means vessels can pass through as long as they do not threaten the peace or security of the country.

It's wartime.....and Kayusee, anything goes.

Anti-Iran ships cannot go through the strait, but pro-Iran or paying ships can still go through the US blockade.

If I was asked who is stupidier between you and Trump? You'll always take the Oscar!

But did not ratify the 1978 treaty where the subject of the traits came up and not mandated to obey the treaty.

Being signatory to 1958 and 1960 treaties in particular which allowed the 12 tautical miles limits for territorial waters from Iran and Oman coastlines, both Iran and Oman own the Trait of Hormuz, because the trait is only 21 nautical miles from both countries. Being signatories to the prior treaties which are still valid under international law till today, allows them to charge tax on vessels that use the passage. For your ignorance, America did not ratify the 1978 treaty, just like Iran and can't enforce what it did not ratify. Same thing applies to the United Nations, the United Nations can't enforce the 1978 Law of the Sea treaty on Iran, because Iran did not ratify it. In International Law, if you did not ratify a treaty, you are not legally compelled to comply with the provisions of the treaty, because it would be null and void.

All of you should stop Googling and go and study law and stop disgracing yourselves on the internet. Google is not a University. It's a search engine for dummies.

Femi,

It's only cowards and little people that are afraid of failure.
Trump stands tall today because he overcame failures.

Failure is the best teacher in life. Failure is the best laboratory where great people are produced. Only those who eventually overcame failure are worthy of leadership. Go and study the life and failures of Abraham Lincoln and come back to show me greater presidents?

I think it's Kofi Olamide that sang in one of his songs: L'homme qui n'est pas tombe, Il connait pas la vie" (a man that has not fallen does not understand life).

The world is infested with too many people who are afraid to fail. Hence too scared to dare. In Texas, only fools/cowards dwell on a man's failures.

I support President Trump's bold bid to block the Strait of Hormuz. That's a Masterstroke in the art of the deal. Now watch Iran shriek:
"IRAN THREATENS RETALIATION: Iran's armed forces threatened to block shipping from the Persian Gulf, the Sea of Oman and the Red Sea if the U.S. continues its blockade and "creates insecurity for Iranian commercial ships and oil tankers."

U.S. blockade of Iranian ports has stopped Iranian sea trade, U.S. Central Command says

Avatar

The U.S. blockade of Iranian ports, which turned away nine ships in the first 48 hours, has stopped maritime trade in and out of Iran, U.S. Central Command said in a post on X.

"After implementing the blockade on ships entering and departing Iranian ports, American forces halted economic trade going into and out of Iran by sea," CENTCOM said in the post. "U.S. Sailors, Marines, and Airmen remain positioned and ready to act against any vessels seeking to violate the blockade."

USA must not bow to Iran's cheap blackmail.

I used to think that Femi Olajide was a little smart, but he has proved that he is a dumb ass since he began worshipping Tinubu and APC. An Ishan fool who masquerades as a Yoruba, Femi Olajide has proven to be a colossal disappointment to me from whence I discovered that he is not as smart as I had though/perceived of him.

Had Femi Olajide a proper functional brain, he would not criticize POTUS Trump, since he worships a dumb ass and an incompetent thieving president Tinubu, who worships Trump by the way. That is the extent of the dumbness of APC and their slaves --- Femi Olajide criticizes Trump, the leader of the most powerful economy and military on earth, yet he worships Tinubu who leads a Nigeria that now ranks equally with or lower than Eritrea, Sudan, South Sudan, Haiti, Somalia, Chad, Central African Republic, etc. in poverty, random murders, organized criminality, and hunger indices.

Yes, Trump goofed in attacking Iran, but the US always corrects its errors, unlike Olajide's Nigeria.

These are the vagaries of war. It's an evil wind that blows no good to anybody.
That is why Statesmen resort to Diplomacy.
However, there comes a time when use of force is necessary to deal with some recalcitrant idiots.

The world has been dealing with this inordinate Iranian terrorist threat since 1979.
President Trump has unequivocally proved to Iran that it doesn't have a monopoly to violence.

Same way President Thomas Jefferson sent the Marines to the shores of Tripoli in 1801 to chase away Libyan pirates and stop cowardly Europe's appeasement of paying ransom for ship passage of the Mediterranean Sea.

Henceforth, Iran knows that terrorism is too costly and not worth it.

What has the USA got to lose? A lot, you idiot who lacks critical thinking. American citizens are currently paying high prices of gasoline at the pump. Inflation is rising every day. America is spending billions of dollars on the war every day. America's deficit is already past $39 trillion, you dummy. American troops are at arms way every day. Those are sons and daughters of people dying, you idiot. Iran's munitions are 1/100% cheaper to produce than American munitions. Each US military aircraft destroyed by Iran costs America several millions of dollars, as opposed to a few thousands Iran missiles and drones cost. America is already running out of defense shield missiles in the Gulf, thats why Iran missiles are now hitting their targets while Iran has a stockpile of cheap munitions buried everywhere in Iran and can produce new ones on the fly.

Dumbest Architect Called Cyril Anyanwu:

America sponsored Ayatollahism and brought Ayatollahs to power in 1979. It was a combination of the US, Britain and France. They helped Ayatollah Khamenei to overthrow the Shah of Iran.

Unfortunately, you don't know that because you are too stupid and too gullible to know anything. You're just a follow-follow fool.

CA,

Just keep hallucinating on the invincibility or strategic manoeuvres of the US naval forces.

https://news-af.feednews.com/news/detail/3d0bfdd895d7eb6497c420d6469a9e02?client=news

Only a fool stares at facts korokoro and still denies it.

Listen, only fools fail on tested and proven issues or ventures.
Risks are taken, but the wise take calculated risks. Hence, the reasonns for risks assessment and management- a budding and buoyant professional field these days.

In unproven or cutting edge ventures, yes, new ground is broken and propensity to fail, and hence risks to fail is higher and only the brave and risks-averse individuals venture there.

Waging a war with Iran or any other country can hardly be classified as a cutting edge venture. Experience abound in the war venture and risks are further reduced by remote control warring i.e. dropping of bombs by manned or unmanned aerial vehicles.

So, CA Trump may be your own vision of a hero, for some of us he represents failure, weakness with bullish tendencies to intimidate weaker people or bodies. That's hardly a poster man for an hero.

GK,

Everything that is said about those you put on a pedestal and worship bothers you. You're still guided and piloted in your thoughts by your inferiority complex.

An insult is a disrespectful, rude, or scornful remark or action designed to offend, demean, or hurt someone's feelings. How did my post below qualify as an insult?

Does stating a fact commonly perceived by 90% of world leaders (either overtly or covertly) qualify as an insult?

Has Trump declared bankruptcy several times? Yes or No?

Has fuel prices at the pump gone up gone up in the US since the Iran war? Yes or No?

So, what the fuck are you saying?
Not saying facts (i.e. lying) because it irritates your sensibilities is more acceptable to you?

If anyone, you are the hypocrite here. Can you say or post one single thing I've said about Tinubu that is sycophantic or untrue.
GK, listen and listen real good. I come from the school of thought where judgements are based on verifiable facts not from some sycophantic tendencies or some hero-worshipping of any subject or individual.
Your type who worship personality or positions irrespective of contradicting facts are the bane of development of Nigeria and it's people.

God will save that country from your type. You're a curse on that nation!

CA,

You are living in a fools' paradise.

No lesson has been learnt by Iran. If any lesson was learnt, it is to ensure that they have a nuclear deterrence in the future.

By burrowing down and outlasting the barrages of bombing, the Iranian regime has survived.

Those in the know, and I concur with them, that without a regime change, this war has only enforced and entrenched the Iranian government to achieve nuclear capability in a stealthier and more covert way.

Personally, I feel the war is a strategic failure by the Trump administration and what is being sold to the American people as a successful military campaign is as phoney as a three-dollar bill.

Kayusee,

You got it all wrong. Google is full of varying degrees of bullshits. Search your own bullshit rightly.

The Shah of Iran was a strong ally of the US and the west. The Ayatollah Khomeini (and not Khamenei) deposed the Shah because his closeness to the US and the west.

I didn't have to even Google this because I followed everything on my Dad's subscription of Time and Newsweek magazine.
