Folks:

This is very interesting or so to say. All the appointees are from the North. Boy, am here laughing and wondering what really is going on or unfolding in President Buhari’s government.

Since it has been said, President Buhari wants only men and women of high probity to serve in his government, can it then be that it is only from the Northern parts of Nigeria that such persons can be found?

Well; we shall see.

As Bolaji Aluko VC would say, am here having some belly laugh.

By the way, if his photo below is a recent one, the man is really looking fresh.

Cheers.

Why rub it in?

Dede Topcrest...

I am only rubbing my Belle with the left hand and patting my head with the right hand.
it seems to be keeping me on the alart.

Look at what Buhari did to the Controller of Immigration...Nigeria Immigration Service Boss NIS, David Parradang.

Amaechi better move to Enugu.
He has been humiliated enough. he should go and beg Jonathan and mami wata.

Fashola and Tinibu are trying to hide their ill wills.

AsoRock has slipped away from them.

okorocha was telling IGBO how he ordered Buhari to appoint ONU the SGF....419

With multi billion naira budget for Aso Rock dinning, who wouldn't look fresh. I'm afraid PMB is not in control of his appointments, otherwise, how can one explain the this kind of strategic federal appointments without regard to due process, federal law and constitution. He is making it easy for his administration to fail. Nigerians are actually fraustrated and he seem not to give a dam. Time shall tell.

Hehehe... Buhari has been reading me all this while and I didn't realize it. The man knows and EFCC confirmed it that 99.97% of all govt looters are Yoruba. There might actually be more Ndigbo in this government after all than the looting tribe. Hahahah I am laughing in Latin again. By the way they will finally be on the road to Damascus when Tingod Tinibu is marched in shackles towards Kirikiri.

If President Muhammadu Buhari, with his vast experience and deep knowledge of the Nigerian geo-political sensitivity, is not embarrassed with this kind of lopsided political appointments, so be it. Personally, I don't get it!

The generality of the Yorubas do not learn from history; history is therefore bound to repeat itself; just when they think Nigeria is there for their taking with the Hausa/Fulanis, they always get left with the short end of the stick.
Do we rehash their enthusiasm in fighting Biafra; the very loquacious elements of the war were Yoruba--"we kill everything that moves', "hunger is a weapon of war"
Awowolo was later shoved out of the way and thereafter MKO was disposed of on account of not being one of the owners of Nigeria, and the June 12 brouhaha followed.
And you remember Adekunle, who screwed himself fighting for the Fulani.

We all thought that they learned their lessons and would allow Jonathan to help in disbanding Nigeria into federating units, but no they handed power over to the same people that rode roughshod on their backs after several years of shouting themselves hoarse with the SNC mantra.

Now Buhari has reverted to the old hegemony.
I do not know now who is more trusted like the fox; the Yoruba or the Hausa/Fulani; the fox even when locked up would try the tricks of his ancestors...
The Yoruba are getting outfoxed and being f-u-c-k-e-d in barely three months.

Dear All,
I think you guys should calm down. It is still early days. There are more appointments to be made.

Oga Tinubu and Uncle Joe Igbokwe may still be compensated. I forgot Amaechi.

All these folks whining about Buhari's appointments should go hug a transformer IMHO.

1) hardly can you see anyone whose character traits have not become set by age 40

2) As head of state, chairman PTF and sharia protagonist PMB has always shown himself as insensitive to the multicultural multi ethnic and multi religious nature of Nigeria

3) despite (2) above you voted him to fight corruption. Don't turn around and expect a 73 year old man to change his MO. If you think you made an error then suck it in and get used to the consequences of your actions.

4) For the next 4 years the only thing we can judge PMB on are his promises. Starting with his 100 days covenant.

5) if he wants to deliver on the promises with only people from Daura so be it. There is nothing happening there that was not foretold.

Who would have believed that I would be the one defending Buhari from his janjaweed supporters who would abuse one for stating the obvious during the elections.

Well, I am not surprised.  I never supported him and I was very vocal about it here.  Based on his past, especially during his PTF days, everything was virtually North.  Would he change now?

Take care

Yesterday, somewhere I wrote that Buhari appears to be dead set on alienating certain people. Appointments are ways of making people feel inclusive in a government. In the USA presidents appoint secretaries that reflect the geographical realities of the country; each geographical zone generally has one secretary in the national government. But Buhari seems to be thinking that it is up to him to give jobs to only Northerners. That makes me question his political judgment. By not appointing, say, Igbos, he is giving them the impression that they are not part of Nigeria; he is making them feel like outsiders; those who feel like outsiders, who feel unwanted tend to work against the polity that pushes them out. Buhari is certainly doing his best to push Igbos out. If the man does not recognize that he is setting a scenario for secession movements he is denser than folks said he is. He said that he is looking for quality people and he can only find them in a region known for providing the least quality education, in people known to be the least competent in the country. This is ridiculous. Anyway, as I noted just about a month into his presidency, this man is not the change we want. I regret supporting him. I hope that the country survives him (he appears hell bent on stimulating a civil war).  I have never seen this level of idiocy at work in making political appointments. Who is this man kidding, himself?

Since it has been said, President Buhari wants only men and women of high probity to serve in his government, can it then be that it is only from the Northern parts of Nigeria that such persons can be found?

Well; we shall see.

All
these folks whining about Buhari's appointments should
go hug a transformer IMHO.
1) hardly can you see anyone whose character
traits have not become set by age 40
2) As head of state, chairman PTF and sharia
protagonist PMB has always shown himself as insensitive to
the multicultural multi ethnic and multi religious nature of
Nigeria
3) despite (2) above you voted him to fight

My brother what is wrong with appointments?

Are the candidates not competent?

Fair is fair. No 73 year old man changes his personality. And it is not fair to expect PMB to change his MO in his old age.

Let's focus on him and his team delivering on his promises. That is the right thing to do.

Pastor Joe,

Everything is wrong with the appointments - everything !

Buhari is off his rocker if he thinks he is going to succeed by just running a Northern government. This kind of lopsidedness is what breeds ethno-regional distrust.

There is just no excuse for the lopsidedness of these appointments. None. I think he lost his mind.

First of all, I was expecting the office of the SGF and the CoS to be merged. Second, in the event that they were not merged, I was expecting that the SGF would be from SESS.

Not only did he not merge the offices, he has gone on to staff both with Northerners!

Unbelievable

People are here complaining about Buhari's federal appointments, and keeping mute about their governors' state appointments. If Buhari feels that only his wife and children can make Nigeria work, that is fine with me. All I want is a Nigeria where the simplest basic things work, federal character or not.

I don't know how many porks Igbos got from the 20, or so of our people who were Ministers from 1999 to 2015 (there will still be more Igbos in this administration); yet, these same people either kept quiet or attacked those who drew their attention to this anomaly (especially, for a people who cry marginalization at every turn).

Like every Nigerian, I want the lights to work, water, roads, rails the same thing; I want the cities and states to be clean and safe, and I want our graduates to get jobs after graduation from a functional academic institution. I want workers to be paid on time, so they can feed their families; I need my goods cleared on time at the wharf and airports.

Frankly, I do not give a rat's ass who makes that work. I also believe that many of the people complaining about appointments - or lack thereof - will not care about who is at the helms if things are working well in Nigeria. People need to just stop complaining, because we have had our people there and the Igbo states still came out worse at the end (even with 98% of our votes). We need to focus on how we can make a simple WIC work here, not lose sleep over who is SGF or COS.

Well your expectations were clearly not aligned with Buhari's plans. Which should lead you to question what else you are wrong about.

A beg lets be realistic. PMB is not going to change at 73

The good guys should focus on fighting corruption.  Shikena

Btw the SESS is 5%. They are grown ups. Elections have consequences.

"WASHINGTON,DC., Aug. 27 –  Nigeria’s Ambassador to Washington, DC, Ambassador Adebowale Ibidapo Adefuye, is dead, according to information reaching the African Sun Times.  The cause of death is yet to be determined.  But arrangements were being made for a send-off party for Prof. Adefuye next week, as he was one of the Ambassadors said to have been recalled by Nigeria’s President Buhari"

Folks,

Did I not just in the last 24 hours announce to the fora to expect political assassinations. More to come, stay tuned!

I believe there is what is called Federal Character in making political appointments in Federal Government offices and positions. The idea is to build ethnic diversity which brings about strength and inclusivity which makes every section of the country have a stake in the country’s wellbeing and unity.

Cheers.

Subject: ||NaijaObserver|| Re: [africanworldforum] Re: BREAKING: Buhari Appoints SGF, Chief of Staff, Customs, Immigration bosses

Any details? Any statements from the embassy? Any statements from Abuja? Wow, the last time I saw him was at Valparaiso University, in Indiana a short while ago. He did not look in any way sick. This is serious! May those around him be comforted.

Really waooow, saddening. He travelled to Nigeria and must have been back a week ago. He was not sick.  I'd  reached him on his cell to have an event at the embassy, which is related to the upcoming NEPAD AFRICA TRADE FAIR in Abuja at the end of Oct.

When I went to the Embassy exactly about two weeks ago, he was in Nigeria.

I just called his cell, it went to his voice mail.

Just saddened.

My People:

I am joining Joe Attueyi to urge all of you to "calm down" over these early appointments....this is part of the "Change" agenda.

(1) PMB started by asking the state Governors not to interfere with his appointments, since he did not interfere with theirs.  That was the first indication that he wants to CONTROL his own appointments, including choosing (or excluding) those who would influence his choices.

(2)  One of the banes of ALL presidents in Nigeria so far has been working with people they don't really know...Obasanjo said so himself, and certainly that was GEJ's biggest headaches.   By choosing his people by himself, Buhari wants to be responsible for his own failures or successes.

(3)  Buhari is certainly aware of the federal character clause in the Constitution...but he has 6,000 appointments less 20 or so to go....and it is too early in the day to strongly accuse him  (he can be "weakly" accused though.)  The Federal Character Commission is there to check him, and people sufficiently vested can sue him - but at this early stage, those formal protests are bound to fail.

(4)  Even in the US, most presidents who have had executive position elsewhere before (like Buhari) tend in their first year or two to fill positions with people from their state, which translates to who they know.  It happened with Nixon (Californians), Reagan (Californians), Carter (Georgians) and Clinton (Southerners, Arkansans).....less with the Bushes.  After a year or two, there will be better balance.

So let us be patient....this is part of the "Change" agenda that is unfolding...and more will unfold, with more or less surprises.

And there you have it.

Bolaji Aluko

Ken,

How many times have you and others criticized federal character on the forums? As long as the Constitutional provisions are not breached, PMB should be left to pick his team.

IBB said we should retain Jonathan to keep Nigeria together, but the propaganda machine of Tinubu prevailed on IBB.
Abdusalam warned Buahri that this is Democracy, but he will not here becuase he is a semi-iliterate.

Ike & Otitigbe,

Ike must be daft to think Jonathan would have disbanded Nigeria if given second term. Otitigbe, there is absolutely no lesson. Yorubas did not vote for Buhari because of political appointments but for improved security, fight-corruption,defeat Boko Haram, improved education, improved electricity, improved health system and improved infrastructure among other things.

As for Yorubas and the civil war, if biafran army did not invade Mid-West and later Yoruba land, Yorubas would not have been "the very loquacious elements of the war".

Those that put Federal Character in the Constitution had good intentions. It does not mean put mediocre in places of knowledgeable men, women and achievers. If it is abused, it is because of Nigerians like you with your mindset. Do you really believe the best performers in office that Nigeria has can only come from one ethnic nation; say Yoruba, Igbo, Edo, Ijaw, Hausa/Fulani; or from one regional section of the country?

Federal Character is to promote solid nation building by way of diversity and inclusivity. Get the best minds that Nigeria has from every ethnic group and sections of the country eschewing nepotism and you will see Nigerian flourish in every section of its economy and national growth. That is my belief.

Cheers.

It did not bother me one bit, when virtually all  Nigerian economic/finance sectors were controlled by one tribe. They were adjudged to be the best that Nigeria has to offer at the time. I did not hear any complaints from all the tribal/ethnic hustlers and merchants at the time. Now, they are raising hell about appointments. A radical problem deserves a radical approach. If the radical approach to curbing corruption and greed among public official is by appointing decent people into high office; people who can perform their duties well; regardless of the region they are from, I am all for it. If the principle of Federal Character has been abused and debased, let  us set it aside for now, let us try new thing. Federal character appeared to have promoted lawlessness, mediocrity and made it possible to have incompetent people and thieves  in government. Buhari seems to be turned off by people with such shady characters. Do you have problem with that?

This is an interesting debate where no side could be said to be totally right or wrong. I would rather side  for now with the Mobolaji Aluko who has called for caution in rushing to judgment on the close to 20 appointments out of roughly 6,000 that Buhari is going to have to make..
I believe that Buhari predictably boxed himself into a corner when he gleefully proclaimed in his inaugural address that "he belongs to everybody and he belongs to nobody". He suddenly became a victim of the Patrick Obahiagbon's  virus on public oratory not because his language in that speech was bombastic but because he could easily have said his Administration would be fair to all regardless of party affiliation, religious persuasion or state of origin.
By claiming he belonged to nobody he was quietly but forcefully telling Nigerians he was going to be his own man and do things his own way as President. He received some applause for including that one-liner in his inaugural address but Nigerians interpreted what he said as it suits their whim and caprices.
I believe like cousin Bolaji that it is damn too early to start condemning him for showing some favoritism to the 3 Geo political zones of the North with his initial appointments. The move could well be a strategy to silence the northern power brokers who are also going to be quick to remind him, he could never have won if the North had not given him their unanimous backing just like the Southwest now claims and rightly so that Buhari could not have won the presidency without the support of at least one zone from the South.
I know many who would even remind Buhari with vengeance that the South/South and the Southeast which benefited the most under the Jonathan Administration were the two zones most opposed to Buhari election as we all recall. The two zones must realize there is a price to pay for losing an election the way they did
That said The Nigerian Constitution requires the President to reflect federal character in his appointments whether he likes it and if he wants to enjoy some modicum of cooperation from the majority of the 36 states of Nigeria. He would be a foolish President to overlook that. I know him well enough to predict he would not be that naive.
It is natural to expect the President to select or appoint into his kitchen Cabinet people he completely trusts and the people he knows very well just like most Presidents do. Jonathan did the same thing by relying heavily on the South/South but more so on the Southeast  which is clearly more experienced and more politically-sophisticated than the South/South.
The North had shown some resentment to that move by voting massively against Jonathan in the North and replacing him with one of their own in collaboration with the Southwest for the first time in the political history of Nigeria..
Buhari's problems at appointing people are made more complex by his promise to not appoint Nigerians with any skeletons in their cupboard regardless of party loyalty. Many had thought he was going to make Governor Rotimi Amaechi the Secretary to Government and Governor Raji Fashola the Attorney-General until tongues started wagging about some of their transgressions in office. Buhari has no choice than to take a second look at his first list in order to retain his credibility not only with Nigerians but with Nigeria's allies around the world..
We all must resist the temptation to rush to judgment too quickly on his motif in making the first 20 appoints. I recall how Ondo State came to get the most important position in Ibrahim Babangida Administration in 1985.
Babangida's regime in their rush, simply forgot Ondo State by human error. They forgot that Ondo State was not represented in all of the appointments Babangida has made up to that moment. The only position yet to be filled was that of Secretary to Government. That was how Chief Oluyemi Falae a former Permanent Secretary in the Manpower Department and the then Managing Director of the Nigerian Merchant Bank ended up becoming the Secretary to the Federal Government.
The delay in reflecting federal character in his initial appointment could end up becoming a big blessing in disguise for the South in the fullness of time. I have served in the Public Service for 25 years out of my life and I know what I am talking about.
We all should be more patient with Buhari. He is going to get it right with time..
Dr. Wumi Akintide.

Otitigbe,
And you are not repeating the "errors" of your elders? How did you come to the conclusion that Osinbajo "is just there to warm the seat Very idle"? How did the resolution of state and federal government debts play out? Was the VP, as NEC Chairman involved? And you don't consider your statement as an insult? When you want to have your "southern arrangement", you will come with a mindset that "the Yoruba now understand that they cannot gamble with the North" which means the Yoruba will be seen as losers even before you conclude your arrangement and therefore will be on the receiving end. There is NOT going to be any "southern arrangement". You fight your battles, we fight ours.

Otitigbe,

If creating enemies unnecessarily has stopped, Nebu would not lie that Yoruba Obas were trooping to Northern Emirs in 1966, implying Yoruba support for killings of Easterners in the North in 1966. If creating enemies unnecessarily has stopped, one Ike Agbor would not hold Yoruba responsible for stopping biafran Army's invasion of Yoruba land. And this is over 50 years after. One wonders what they want to gain.

Ayo if you are a student of history you will make just a little effort to decipher how the Ijaw now sees the Yoruba.
How many times have you been hoodwinked by the  Hausa/Fulani.
The clamor for SNC was to correct imbalances perpetrated by them and just when you think that with Osibanjo you are equal partners with them you guys became as garrulous as ever.
Again...
You did not learn from Awolowo, neither did you learn from MKO.
And here we are today... i told you so.
Well there is equally loquacious folks  from my neck of the woods who are now ashamed to speak up.

Ike: Ayo if you are a student of history you will make just a little effort to decipher how the Ijaw now sees the Yoruba.

Response: Who cares how Ijaw sees Yoruba? If Jonathan was Yoruba and he performed woofully as he did, Yorubas would vote him out. Yorubas led the "fight" to make Jonathan Acting President as prescribed by the Constitution, and Yorubas voted for him to become substantive President. My friends aand relations refused my counsel that they should vote for Buhari. They said we should give a Christian minority a chance. They regretted giving Jonathan the chance.

Ike: How many times have you been hoodwinked by the  Hausa/Fulani.
Response: To you there might have been "hoodwinking", I am not aware of any. We voted for Buhari as President and not Hausa/Fulani.

Ike: The clamor for SNC was to correct imbalances perpetrated by them and just when you think that with Osibanjo you are equal partners with them you guys became as garrulous as ever.
Response: The President and the Vice President are not equal so I don't understand your "equal partners". Jonathan's mismanagement of the country put "the clamor for SNC" as secondary to clearing his mess.

Ike: Again...
You did not learn from Awolowo, neither did you learn from MKO.
Response: I cannot understand your holding today's politicians of a region responsible for what politicians of the region did to Awolowo decades ago. Or holding Northerners responsible for what  military Heads of State (Babangida and Abacha) did to MKO over 20 years ago. They were not representing their region were they? By the way, did your people not refuse to vote for Awolowo even when his running mate was one of you? What interest are you now showing in the way he was treated? And are you still not insulting Awolowo till tomorrow?

Ike: And here we are today... i told you so.
Response: I am sorry to say this, but if I must come to your level to discuss Nigeria, partnership with Hausa/Fulani is more respectable than partnering with those that derive pleasure in abusing and insulting us, and insulting every ethnic group in Nigeria. That is what this discussion is about . . . . 45 years after the civil war, people like you and Nebu are still creating enemies for Igbo unnecessarily. You prefer to maginalize Igbo among Nigerian ethnic groups. As you are aware, when the chips are down, even SS will not partner with SE. Politically, your people have more problem than any ethnic group in Nigeria. Instead of facing your problem and work to solve it, you are concerning yourself with what you perceive to be Yoruba problem, which to Yorubas, is no problem. You deserve my pity Ike.

Chief Otiti:

You are wrong again by siding with the inebriated Ayo. Before the liberation mission to the west that was led by a Yoruba man, Yoruba people were already fighting against Biafra. Adekunle and many other Yoruba were attacking Biafra from the northern sector. It was a matter of time before the western front would open.

Chief Otiti, you must not fail to recognize the relationship between Fulani and Yoruba. It is similar to the relationship between a pimp and a prostitute. It is the same relationship between a conquered people and their conqueror. The Yoruba are a conquered people and the Fulani who decimated them in that war know it. Think about it: how easy do you think a prostitute would find it to leave her Pimp? It is not easy Chief.

Anybody expecting the Yoruba to behave differently is deceiving themselves. The Yoruba are a conquered people and they know that the fear of the Fulani is the beginning of wisdom. It is thought to them from childhood. There is no Yoruba with the fighting spirit to go against the Fulani.

Folks what you see from the Yoruba exemplifies the Loser's mindset. They are always afraid of their conqueror. If anything can be built in the southern front, it must be done without the Yoruba in the midst. If you bring in the Yoruba, they will scuttle your idea.

The Yoruba are pansies used by the Fulani to further their southern agenda. I have said this many times that the Fulani hegemony in Nigeria succeeds because one single masterstroke of their progenitor, Usman Dan Fodio. By defeating and putting the fear of the Fulani into the YOruba, he managed to concentrate power on his children for eternity.

Does anyone remember how loud and uncouth this Yoruba people were leading up to the election? They shouted themselves hoarse with FEBUHARI! Typical of people consumed of the sissy syndrome, they were more for Buhari that Fulani were for Buhari. Today they have continued to excuse Buhari.

Personally I see nothing wrong with Buhari's actions. I think zoning and federal character should be dumped. Let the best people step forward and lead the nation. That is my hope and goal.

Ayo.
Our generation inherited the mess. it is up to us to clean it. I have many Igbo brothers, we can still clean the mess. Human beings need icons that is majority of Christians worship before images sold to them as God or Saint. We just need an Icon in each region , and the creation of enemies will be over.

Be honest to yoruself.
Yoruba did not vote out Obasanjo ewith all the mess he made. They were shouting the bower of incumbency for his reelections.

I respect the fact that just like me you are born and bred among the
Yoruba. I will not debate Yoruba with you.
We are only searching into our history, we confront ideas as a way of
reading the past to undertand the present and project a better future.
Yoruba like all the people all over the world have personal interest to
defend. Prostitution is done by a few and those benefiting from it use
it as propaganda.
Akintola signed a deal with the North but majotiy of Yoruba were in UPGA
which could be interpreted as the first Southern Arrangement or
coalition, but there was no leader to produce the change.

RESPONSE: The Nigerian Constitution GUARANTEES "group rights" otherwise, it will not enshrine "Federal Character". A "class" is determined by shared interests and "Class action" is NOT limited to ONLY legal, courtroom suits. Class action exist in order to promote or defend the interest of that class be it as an economic, political or religious entity; it can pursue the enforcement of its rights. International Conventions accept the right of nations for self-determination, thus, such nations can seek redress politically, legally or economically, which may all be mediated by some form of legal action(referendum, for example) as was done in the UK(Scotland) and Canada(Quebec) or "plebiscitary" approach of Catalonia, in defiance of Spanish authorities, or simple agreement between the Czechs and Slovaks; while Eritrea had to fight her way into its realization etc etc. Such conventions also allow for the protection of individual rights. So, in all cases,
every right, individual or group, can be pursued, fought for and achieved.

Otitigbe,

And you are not repeating the "errors" of your
elders? How did you come to the conclusion that Osinbajo
"is just there to warm the seat Very idle"? How
did the resolution of state and federal government debts
play out? Was the VP, as NEC Chairman involved? And you
don't consider your statement as an insult? When you
want to have your "southern arrangement", you will
come with a mindset that "the Yoruba now understand
that they cannot gamble with the North" which means the
Yoruba will be seen as losers even before you conclude your
arrangement and therefore will be on the receiving end.
There is NOT going to be any "southern
arrangement". You fight your battles, we fight ours.

Otitigbe,

Obasanjo did not deplete the Extetnal reserves as Jonathan did. Corruption was not as endemic under Obasanjo as under Jonathan. Obasanjo did not have Boko Haram to expose the weakness and corruption of his military. Comparing Obasanjo's poor governance with Jonathan's is like comparing sleep and death.

Foolish Ayo and Michael:

The problem with ethnic lying asses is that they lose themselves in their meandering confusion.

The reason these two Yoruba bigots are vaunting the baboon, Obasanjo, over Jonathan is because Obasanjo is Yoruba.

Under Obasanjo, $16 billion USD electricity was stolen by Obasanjo. Tafa Balogun stole 500 Billion Maura and went to jail. Aunty Nike Grange stole 50 billion and was fired. Bode George stole ₦250 Billion and went to jail. Erasmus Akingbola stole ₦ 2 Trillion and ran into exile. That theft from Intercontinental pushed the bank into liquidation. Cecilia Ibru stole $1.2 billion USD. Gbenga Aluko stole ₦1 billion and lost the re-election. Iyabo Obasanjo stole ₦500 million and also lost re-election. Patricia Olubunmi Etteh stole ₦750 million and was pushed out as speaker. I can continue but I am sure you all got my point. The reason that Ayo and co see all of this as no corruption is because all the thieves are Yoruba.

I hope you know that your readers are mosly Nigerians and know the truth about Obasanjo's administration compared with Jonathan's. I have said it on many occasions that I am not an Obasanjo fan. You can therefore not blackmail me.
I am deliberately leaving your lies about those you listed as having stolen during Obasajo's administration as I am not their advocate.

Haba Otitigbe,

Where did I say Obasanjo did not steal? We are comparing his poor governance and that of Jonathan not thiefry. That Obasanjo was not voted out the way Jonathan was voted out was because Obasanjo's governance though poor, was not as despicable as Jonathan's.

Why should I defend Obasanjo or any Yoruba that stole? You should know that Yorubas don't do that.

Ayo.
You said this :
" As you are aware, when the chips are down, even SS will not partner with SE. Politically, your people have more problem than any ethnic group in Nigeria" ( Ayo)
And  I say this, leave us , the Igbos , alone. Your side took the SS during the war or most of SS volunteered on your side during the war to exterminate the Igbos and you all failed. We survived  and doing a lot better than we were in the sixties.

Your excerpted statement above  just justified my claim yesterday  that Igbo nation is an endangered specie in your Nigeria. Yes we are based on all your predictions that we shall forever be politically  isolated and marginalized.

Who knows the next sore thing from your West, North and SS coalition against us, the Igbos? May be eliminating us like Awo had planned will assure the rest of Nigeria some murderous free minds  !!! .

Okoko Idem or was it Ojukwu that once advised : onye ndi iro gbara gburugburu n'eche ndu ya nche mgbe n'ile.
( a people surrounded by [his] enemies MUST always fight for his survival, be watchful. That is Igbo state of the mind each and everything we suspect "the chips are [would be]  down.
We know it bro and won't shut up a bit defending and screaming whenever we feel the British are coming again .
There is nothing good an Igbo would do today for Nigeria that can  disabuse any of Igbo haters' opinion about Ndigbo. So should we even try to make you feel better  about us ?

On your plans to take over SS again.

My advice is you go talk  to Chris Udohs and that Eye-sore ( that Akwa -Cross Igbo hater) about their so called "knowing better" before you become their husbands again.

I think they now hate ever knowing and being your wives since 1967. Some reasonable ones amongst them, the Chris Udohs can say they missed a chance between 1967 and 1970.
Igbos are  their neighbours and life partners,  and would know the nearest is the dearest . Hawusa and the Mgbatis are just far distance non blood relations to the SS.

Your South South cannot withstand your running them over again  when you are ready. Igbos shall be ready and willing to defend them at such a time.

You prefer the Igbos should shut up for life or become what we are not or cannot be just for your emotional comfort.
Seems you are new knowing the Nebu you referenced is talking for a lot of us.
Dan
