🇰🇪 France got kicked out of West Africa. Now Macron is in Nairobi and Ruto just signed 11 deals with him at State House.
The agreements cover rail, nuclear energy, ports, tea exports, digital technology, and fisheries. The deals are public. But the fine print isn’t. No parliamentary debate. No public consultation. Kenyans taxed to their limits deserve to know exactly what was traded for what.
Ruto stood smiling while Macron signed. The question isn’t whether Kenya needs investment, it’s who benefits most when the ink dries.

How many international agreements have you as a citizen of any country been consulted on or the terms of agreement been invited to comment on?
You guys just speak out of your arses sometimes. Of you're very interested in the international agreements, apply for a he details under your FOI act in your country or through your foreign affairs office.

Listen and listen good.
You cannot dwell in the global village we live in right now and not dwell with the good, the bad and the ugly.
Imagine, the all sorts we have to deal with online herein on these fora.
Africa mentality will have to change, we have smart people that can interpret contracts terms(if they are not compromised), good & selfless people who can lead judiciously(if they are allowed to get there by their people) and abundant resources to be able to call the shot. There is no huge gap between the France and Kenya today. The gap is even closing by the day.
Where the huge gap exist is in the mentality of the leaders of the two countries.
If you still go to a negotiating table with the mentality of the colonized, you will be treated as such. If the colonizer comes to a negotiating table with that mentality, it is the duty of a free mind to bring him down.
Believe me, a master craftsman will still produce a masterpiece with defective or inferior tools.
African leaders will just need to up their game and stop doing boi boi and start treating other leaders as equals and not as demi-god!
