Culling of the Inactive 2025

Hello everyone,

In the month of June, the Aerican Empire conducts the Culling of the Inactive. By now, if you joined before March 1st, 2025, you should have received your letter for this year's Culling of the inactive. If you haven't yet replied to it, or if you didn't receive it, you are required to reply to this e-mail or otherwise contact the government before July 1st to confirm that they remain active and are still monitoring their registered e-mail address. Citizens who don't check in before that date will lose their citizenship. If you no longer want to be a citizen, ignore this email and you will not be contacted again.

If you already replied, you can ignore this email, as over a hundred people already have, you can ignore this letter, or mock it, or perhaps print it out and use it to make paper airplanes or something. I dunno, don't let me tell you how to live your life. 

Please, please, please do not just respond over the mailing list, because the people on it don't want to read a whole bunch of "yes I'm alive" emails. Please ensure that you put my email into the "to" field.

Dear Emperor Eric,

Thank you for the reminder and for your commitment to the Aerican community.

I am writing to confirm that I am still very much alive and remain a proud citizen of the Aerican Empire. However, I must humbly explain that I am currently passing through a very difficult chapter in my life — one involving significant hardship, instability, and efforts to rebuild.

Because of this, I may not have been as active as I would have liked, but I assure you that once this period passes, I will return stronger and more involved than ever.

In the month of June, the Aerican Empire conducts the Culling of the Inactive. By now, if you joined before March 1st, 2025, you should have received your letter for this year's Culling of the inactive. If you haven't yet replied to it, or if you didn't receive it, you are required to reply to this e-mail or otherwise contact the government before July 1st to confirm that they remain active and are still monitoring their registered e-mail address. Citizens who don't check in before that date will lose their citizenship. If you no longer want to be a citizen, ignore this email and you will not be contacted again.

If you already replied, you can ignore this email, as over a hundred people already have, you can ignore this letter, or mock it, or perhaps print it out and use it to make paper airplanes or something. I dunno, don't let me tell you how to live your life. 

Please, please, please do not just respond over the mailing list, because the people on it don't want to read a whole bunch of "yes I'm alive" emails. Please ensure that you put my email into the "to" field.
