Apologies to everyone. This sort of thing in inevitable from time to time. The offending member has been placed on moderation.

There is an unsubscribe link in every email that does out over the mailing list, and you are NOT obligated to be on the mailing list to remain a citizen. However, being off the mailing list does make it harder to see important events like the Culling of the Inactive. At any rate, yes, you're certainly allowed to unsubscribe from the Google Group.

Eric what you need is a Facebook group. Westartica has one that is very nice and many people really like. I am a Expert in Facebook Groups with a significant amount of experience I can run it.

This one is on me. This particular scammer obviously wasn't just a bot. When they asked to join the mailing list there was a whole paragraph there about why they wanted to be on the Imperial mailing list and even mentioned liking the flag. I will be even more vigilant about new adds going forwards. In the meantime, of course, anyone who wants to tease the scammer privately is welcome to do so.
