Sunset of AdsApp.adCustomizerSources other option to alter Customizers

Hi there,

I am working on a Google Ads script to automate a manual task of mine: 
We are setting Price AdCustomizers on Account Level and adding them to all of our Adgroups. The Price gets automatically updated via an API (not Google API). For this to happen we first of all need to set a default value. As of right now the status is set to use adopted value and needs to be set to custom value manually. I wonder if there is a way to automatically change the setting from adopted value to custom value. Geminis solutions did not solve the problem main reasoning was the sunset of the function mentioned below. Are there other ways?

Does this apply for every Ad type or only ETA? We are currently using only RSA.

Hi Lisa,

Please be informed that it applies to all ad types. As mentioned in this Blog Post, Google Ads scripts will begin to throw errors for requests related to ad customizers for expanded text ads and feed-based legacy ad extensions starting from July 14, 2025.

A somewhat confusing answer.

Anyway, you can upload ad customisers using bulk upload either via a scheduled upload or using AdsApp.bulkUpload() - it works fine with RSA
