I'm attaching a screenshot - it's under Campaign > Settings > click to expand the location options and the choice between recommended setting 'presence' rather than 'presence or interest' for excluded locations can be reset there.

also, yesterday I deleted the original post because of a typo and replaced with a similar conversation at https://groups.google.com/g/adwords-scripts/c/cAFxHYTRrCU if the two can be merged. 

Summary: 

We have some accounts where we selected "Presence or interest" for excluded geographic locations parameters and we feel this might be depressing traffic so we want to change that setting to the recommended setting of Exclude users associated with that location through Presence Only. 

Is there a way to use a Google MCC script to switch all campaigns that are using "Presence or interest" in Geographic Exclusions to using the recommended geographic exclusion setting "Presence"? 

Your team has already pointed me to the GEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORT for getting location type of the excluded locations, but I'm still trying to figure out how to get that script to work. Step 1 is identifying which campaigns across our MCC have the Presence or Interest setting for excluded locations, Step 2 will be automating the switching to recommended setting.

Thanks for providing the requested information and the additional context. Unfortunately, setting or changing the Location options - Exclude is not yet supported in the Google Ads Scripts. See CampaginTargeting and ExcludedLocation for available methods.

 

On the other hand, I can reach out to the rest of the team and communicate a feature request on your behalf for the possibility of supporting this function. However, there is no guarantee if this will supported anytime soon in the Google Ads Scripts. Kindly confirm if you would like me to proceed.
