Mobile Page Speed Insights - Please change the default configuration values and retry

Hallo, 

ich habe versucht, das Script für Mobile Page Speed Insights für unser Verwaltungskonto einzurichten. Leider bekomme ich aber immer die Fehlermeldung "Please change the default configuration values and retry"

Woran liegt das?

Ich habe wie in der Anleitung beschrieben den API Key erhalten & eingefügt, und auch die E-Mail-Adressen habe ich eingefügt.

Außerdem habe ich das Spreadsheet Template kopiert & die URL der Kopie eingefügt.

Wenn ich ganz oben beim Quellcode "function main () {" stehen lasse & dann den Code einfüge, dass erscheint die Meldung "Kein Logger-Ausgang" in der Vorschau unter den Protokollen. 

Wenn ich "function main (){" entferne, erscheint die Meldung "Please change the default configuration values and retry".

Wie bereits erwähnt habe ich alle möglichen Dinge ausprobiert, um das Script zu aktivieren, aber es funktioniert nicht.

Wie kann ich das ändern?

Apologies that I can only provide support in English.

Could you confirm if you updated defaultsChanged function (line 380 - 388) of the PageSpeed Insights: Mobile Analysis - Manager Account solution script which does not need to be updated? They are used to validate API key, spreadsheet URL and email addresses you provided in the config variable at the top of the script. If you updated the function, please modify the function to the original one and try to test again. If you did not update the function, could you provide your CID, script name, and spreadsheet access via Reply privately to author so I could further investigate?

Hi Hiroyuki,

 

Yes, I also edited the defaultsChanged function.

I again modified the function to the original one and tested it again. Now the script says „No Logger-Exit“.

What’s the matter now?

Hello Julia,

I have checked the script and the spreadsheet you provided and I found that the spreadsheet you are using is the original template. This said, you would need to make a copy (File --> Make a Copy...) and replace the spreadsheet URL to the copied spreadsheet URL in the script which is at line 65.

Please let me know how it goes after trying the suggestion.

Hello Julia,

Upon checking the script history on your account, the execution of the script named "MobilePageSpeed Checker – MCC" has been finished successfully. However, since you have 154 accounts under your MCC account, the report will be produced after running the script 4 times. As you can see in How it works section in this guide, the script will run on a maximum of 50 accounts per run in order to avoid execution limits and once all are completed, a report will be produced.

Please let me know how it goes after running the script 4 times.

Now the script ran through 4 times, but I didn’t get a report by email.

When I look at the script history under results it says “no changes”.

Hello Julia,

Since the script does not update any data on your account, the result "No changes" in the script history should be fine. Could you confirm if the spreadsheet has been updated with the results? Also, please make sure that line 51 is with the format as seen in the sample code snippet below.

I still haven’t got any E-mail from Google and the spreadsheet has not been updated yet. Can you suggest any ideas, why the script is still not working?

Hello Julia,

Could you confirm if there is a file named "PageSpeed Temporary File: Online Birds Hotel Marketing Solutions" in your Google drive? If yes, could you please delete the file and test the script again? It is the possible reason that the script does not update the spreadsheet and send the result via email. The temporary file should be deleted after sending the result. However, the email address format in your script was invalid previously, so there is a possibility that the temporary file is still remaining in your Google drive because of the failure of sending the result.

thank you for your suggestions, the AdWords script is working now. Still, I got one more question: Is there any possibility to get the results by e-mail only once a week?

I do get the e-mails more than 5 times a day, even if nothing in the results has changed.

Hello Julia,

Regarding your concern, you may modify line 347 in your script as seen in the sample code snippet below. Although, the script will still send an email 5 times a day, it will check the day of the week and send emails only when it's Monday. You may modify/add the condition based on your preference.

var format = Utilities.formatDate(now, timeZone, 'MMMM dd, yyyy HH:mm:ss Z')
var date = new Date(format);    
var dayOfWeek = date.getDay();

 sendEmail(spreadsheet.getUrl());
}
