By reviewing your concern, I understand that you are getting an error message "The input has an invalid value" when you are setting up bidding strategy other than manual_cpc_bidding_strategy while generating forecast metrics.

Kindly note that ​the estimation of daily_target_spend_micros for the maximize_clicks_bidding_strategy and maximize_conversions_bidding_strategy should be a minimum value of the local currency used in the campaign. The unit micros, is defined as 1,000,000 times the account currency. For example, $1.23 will be returned as 1230000, in micros.

In order to assist you further, kindly provide us with the complete API logs (request and response logs with request-id and request header) generated at your end.

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are using. You can refer to the guides Java, .Net, PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl to enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging via the curl command by using the -i flag.

Kindly note that 'max_cpc_bid_micros' are only for the manual cpc bidding strategy. When you set the bidding strategy to maximize_clicks_bidding_strategy, they might collide. Please try removing the 'max_cpc_bid_micros' fields from everywhere from the request and provide us with the updated complete API logs (request and response with request-id and request header) generated at your end.

Since you are using a python client library, I would request you to enable logging for the python client library that you are using. You can refer to the guide Python to enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging via the curl command by using the -i flag.

Hello,

Following up on this, we've identified that the original request failed because setting max_cpc_bid_micros is only compatible with manual_cpc_bidding_strategy, not with maximize_clicks_bidding_strategy. The same request was failing afterwards regardless of max_cpc_bid_micros being included due to the forecast start date being set at  04-03-2024. GenerateKeywordForecastMetrics requires the forecast start date to be in the future. Hope this helps resolve the issue!
