Hi -

We are creating ad groups and then attaching keyword criteria onto to them. We are seeing a lot of errors when this happens with certain keywords, the error code is POLICY_ERROR

 error_code {
    policy_violation_error: POLICY_ERROR
 }

My question is, is there a way to check if a keyword is targetable without first having to create the ad group? Is there a service or a field on the criteria which will tell us that? thanks!

Hello,

Thank you for writing to us regarding your concern. It is not possible to check whether the keyword can be targeted using API services. However, you can request a policy exemption while adding the criteria that trigger policy violations for which you wish to get exemptions for. Please have a look at this guide for more information. Let us know if this clarifies your concerns.
