We are reviewing the data ingested from the Google Ads API and wanted to seek your advice on the metrics_average_cost data point.
Referring to the screenshot below, the amounts reflected in the metrics_average_cost are too high to constitute a single day's spend.

The GA report shows a different number compared to the raw data that is ingested using the API:

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Kindly note that the metrics.average_cost field gives the average amount you pay per interaction. This amount is the total cost of your ads divided by the total number of interactions. In order to debug your issue further, kindly provide us with the complete API logs (request and response with request-id and request header) generated at your end to better assist you on this request.

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are using. You can refer to the guides Java, .Net, PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl to enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging via the curl command by using the -i flag.

You can share the requested details via Reply privately to the author option or a direct private reply to this email.
