Setting YouTube Campaign bid via API

Hi,

I would like to set a YouTube campaigns bids with the API.

I tried with the Adwords API and I got an authorization exception, I read about it in old forums and saw that it was not possible to do.

Is it possible to do it with thew Adwords API? If not, is it possible to achieve with the new Ads API?

Hi Eli,

YouTube campaigns are currently not supported in both the old AdWords API and the new Google Ads API. For the new Google Ads API, you can refer to the AdvertisingChannelType and AdvertisingChannelSubType fields to learn which type of campaigns are supported to be created/updated using the CampaignService.

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out. The Youtube Campaigns (thus the Video Campaigns) are only available in reports in the Adwords API and Google Ads API. It is not possible to get/mutate the Youtube Campaign through the API. Please refer to this doc for details. If you would like to retrieve data for the Youtube Campaign you could request Video Performance Report in Adwords API or video resource in Google Ads API. Please let me know if you have any further concerns.
