Error when create conversion app

to AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum

Hi,

I am using Adwords API to create new Conversion:

"conversionTrackerType": "AppConversion",

    "category": "DOWNLOAD",
    "appId": "com.halfbrick.jetpack",
    "appPlatform": "ITUNES",

"appConversionType": "FIRST_OPEN"

But it responses error:

"adwords_error": {
    "error": "ConversionTrackingError",
    "description": "An error that can occur during calls to the ConversionTypeService.",
    "reason": "INVALID_APP_ID",
    "summary": "App ids must adhere to valid Java package naming requirements."

}

I tried with many correct app ids, but till failed.

Hi Martin,

Thank you for reaching out. Please see here for more information on the appId. It looks like you're using the Android convention for your app ID but since your platform is iTunes, I would guess that it needs to have the IOS convention.
