Steps for Adwords API Access

Hello Adwords Support Team,

I am trying to access the adword API using Java but no luck. I have followed the steps provided in the help link. Please help. Below are the steps. 

1. Created a Test Manager Account. ID : 666-236-4191

2. Created client id and client secret using this test manager account with credentials type as other.

3. Ran the GetRefreshToken.java and got the refresh token.

Now how will i get the developer token ? I am not seeing API access in my test manager account. Also, i have tried adding a test client account which is asking to provide budget information which i dont want to do at this time. 

One more question, once i get the developer token which method in java is best to access to check i have access to API?

Please let me know how to proceed on this.

Hi KC,

A developerToken is acquired by signing up for a production MCC account as discussed fully in this guide. When using test accounts, you are not yet required to apply for basic access. However, should you then decide to target production accounts in your API requests, you will need to request first for basic access before you can make AdWords API calls using production accounts.
