We successfully uploaded two CrmBasedUserLists through the API. However after a few days, the AdWords UI reports this message: "Error with the last upload". Clicking into the CrmBasedUserList in the UI shows a different message: "Internal server error. It looks like our internal servers had an error during upload or process. Try re-uploading."

We reloaded the list in error, but several days later again we saw these same messages. Can anyone explain what this error refers to? Or provide a way that I can troubleshoot this issue? Attached is an image of the second message and the list in error. I can provide more details (Customer/Account information) on request.

Hi,

This question seems better suited for the AdWords Community Forum since the error appears in the UI.

Hi Anthony,

The list was loaded by the API and appears to point to a back-end issue when processing CrmBasedUserList files. I was under the impression that the Community forum was mostly for advice on using the UI and advertising topics, not developer support questions. I am happy to move the question there if you think that is the right channel.

Thanks.
Hunter.

Hi Hunter,

They should be able to help you since the error was in the UI. However, if you have any SOAP request and responses that may help with my investigation, I'll be glad to take a look at it.

Hi Anthony,

I don't have the SOAP request/response for this particular upload, but I could re-generate the same request again and upload it under a different name. My main concern was that the API response originally returned success, otherwise our process would have returned the error from the API. So this seems like an issue in processing *after* the upload. I wasn't sure where to voice such questions and/or reports.

Happy to re-generate this request if you think it would be useful.

Thanks.
Hunter.

Wondering if this was ever fixed? Or what the underlying issue was? I'm experiencing the exact same problem right now and not quite sure how to move forward.

Hi Jamie,

Thanks for bumping this thread. Since this thread was from a while back, I would have to check with the rest of our team whether there had been any updates regarding the issue.

Moving forward to yours, could you provide your the complete SOAP request and response logs that were generated when you uploaded your audiences and also, the complete Google Ads UI screenshot containing the similar error you encountered as stated in the original post?
