BiddingErrors not compatible with payment mode campaign pay for conversions

Hi,

i tried to change daily budget for my campaigns with CampaignService and BudgetService but it fails when the campaign is  on "Pay for conversions mode".

        $budgetService = $adWordsServices->get($session, BudgetService::class);
        $operations = [];
        $budget = new Budget();
        $budget->setName($name." - ".$date." - ".uniqid());
        $money = new Money();
        $money->setMicroAmount($amount*1000000);
        $budget->setAmount($money);
        $budget->setDeliveryMethod(BudgetBudgetDeliveryMethod::STANDARD);
        $operation = new BudgetOperation();
        $operation->setOperand($budget);
        $operation->setOperator(Operator::ADD);
        $operations[] = $operation;

        $result = $budgetService->mutate($operations);
        $budget = $result->getValue()[0];
        $campaignService = $adWordsServices->get($session, CampaignService::class);

The error is:

what should I do to change the daily budget in "Pay for conversions" campaigns?

Hi David,

So I can further investigate, could you provide the complete SOAP request and response logs that were generated when the BiddingErrors.NOT_COMPATIBLE_WITH_PAYMENT_MODE error occurred? If you haven't yet, you may enable SOAP logging for your PHP client library by referring to this guide.

Once enabled, you may send the generated logs privately via the Reply privately to author option.

Hi, 

Also having this issue with CPA bidding strategy with pay for conversions.

BiddingErrors.NOT_COMPATIBLE_WITH_PAYMENT_MODE @ operations[0].operand.budget; trigger:‘BUDGET_TYPE_ADWORDS'

I've tried in both Adwords API and Google Ads API and it doesn't work. 

It only works via UI or adwords script.

Please Advise

Did anyone ever resolve this? I'm experiencing the same issue. Using the adwords API PHP SDK. If I attempt to update the budget of a campaign thats set to 'pay for conversions' I get the same error: 

faultMessage=[BiddingErrors.NOT_COMPATIBLE_WITH_PAYMENT_MODE @ operations[0].operand.budget; trigger:'BUDGET_TYPE_ADWORDS']

Hello,

You should be able to solve this by using a budget with a budget type of FIXED_CPA, rather than STANDARD. Let me know if this helps.
