Dear Google Ads API Team,

I hope this message finds you well.

We are currently utilizing the uploadClickConversions method to upload user data via the UserIdentifier field, where we provide both hashed email addresses and hashed phone numbers. However, we have encountered a scenario where either the phone number or email address might be missing for certain conversions.

In cases where one of these identifiers (either the phone number or email) is empty:

Should we pass an empty value for the missing field?
Or Should we hash  empty value and upload it?
Or should we omit the entire field from the request?
We want to ensure that our implementation aligns with the best practices for handling partial user data in conversion uploads.

Thank you in advance for your guidance. We look forward to your advice on the correct approach for these cases.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

I would recommend that you omit the entire field from the request.

Hope this helps. If you have any more queries, please feel free to get back to us.
