Hello everyone, :)

I have a manager account with API access that has two emails attached. They are
Pers...@Blvnp.com
and Profe...@Blvnp.com

When I originally setup the manager account and gave it API access I used "Pers...@blvnp.com", but now I realize that when the API changes my clients campaigns their change-log says "change made by Pers...@blvnp.com", and I would rather it say "change made by Profe...@blvnp.com".

I have found these instructions on the internet for how to fix this problem. They say that I simply need to remove and re-add Pers...@blvnp.com to fix the problem: http://www.webholism.com/blog/sara/how-to-switch-your-adwords-mcc-to-a-new-email-address/

But I don't know if following these instructions I will mess-up my API-credentials since all credentials were created while using Pers...@blvnp.com.

Does anyone know if this will lead to problems? And if so, what's an alternative to change the email displayed in my client's "change-logs".

Thank you
Cheers
Garik

Hi Garik,

In order to change the email displayed in your client's change logs to Profe...@blvnp.com, you would need to provide read-write access to Profe...@blvnp.com in your manager account. Then, after you are logged in as Profe...@blvnp.comsetup OAuth and refresh token. After that, you will be able to use Profe...@blvnp.com for making API calls. Please note that your developer token will not change. Please let me know if you have further questions.

So after I give Profe...@blvnp.com the Oauth and refresh token, all I will have to do is update the INI source file I use to connect with the API?

No need to remove and re-add Pers...@blvnp.com?

Hi Garik,

Yes, you are correct. Just update the adsapi_php.ini file if you are using the php client library. There is no need to make any changes to Pers...@blvnp.com unless you want to change its permissions.
