Stack with total vs. mobile search volumes

The GUI of Keyword Planner displays on the diagram total vs. mobile search volume for certain keywords.

I'm stack with AdWords API: how can I query TrafficEstimatorService to get the total and mobile search volumes?

Thanks for reaching out. The TrafficEstimatorService does not support this, and the AdWords API will become unavailable this April. We recommend migrating to the Ads API as soon as is possible for you. New AdWords API features will not be implemented. However, if you can provide a screenshot for this feature in the UI, I can make a request for this feature in the Ads API KeywordPlanIdeaService. Here is a list of current KeywordPlanIdeaService features and their UI analogues.

Hello Matt!

I have an app based on AdWords API + Developer Token, which I use for querying search volumes (TrafficEstimatorService). Indeed I will soon rework/update the app from AdWords API to Google Ads API. I think I will relate to the generation of historical metrics as stated under https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/keyword-planning/generate-historical-metrics.

What I mean with mobile vs. total search volumes, you can see on the attached screenshot: 

• blue line - total search volume of a specific keyword, 
• red line - its mobile search volume. 

What is the way to get both search volumes with the new Google Ads API?

Thanks for providing us with the screenshot. In the Ads API you can get device volumes by including 'DEVICE' in the aggregate_metric_types[] field in your GenerateHistoricalMetricsRequest.
