No data in Video report

I'm working with Google Ads API reports for more than a year and I requested video data from the Video report with a query like this:

SELECT campaign.app_campaign_setting.app_store,

  campaign.name,

  campaign.status,

  video.id,

  segments.date,

  segments.conversion_action_category,

  metrics.conversions

 FROM video

  WHERE segments.date >= '2021-01-30' AND segments.date <= '2021-01-30'

  AND segments.conversion_action_category IN (PURCHASE, DOWNLOAD)

  AND campaign.status != REMOVED

ORDER BY segments.date, campaign.name

and all worked fine.

But since 02/17/2021 I can't obtain any information from this report — I get an empty result.

When I try to ask video list with a query 

SELECT video.id FROM video

I get only 7(!) rows, but I have more than 600 videos in my campaigns.

How I can manage this problem?

To investigate the issue, could you provided the following details?

• Complete request and response logs with request ID 
• Customer ID
• Screenshot of the whole UI where you are comparing the API result

If you haven't enabled the logging of the API transactions for the specific client library that you are using, then please refer to the specific guide below:

Thank you for reaching out. I work with Ernie. If you log into your account and go into the Video category, you will find you only have 7 videos in there and that’s why you were only able to get 7 rows in the results. To check the assets, you could give it a try to query the asset resource.

Hi Xiaoming,

This query worked more than a year before this February, and in asset's resource has no metrics!

Usually, I get info about conversions for all my videos including app campaigns using video report.

And how I mentioned above since 02/17/2021 I can't obtain any information from this report.

Hey Xiaoming,

We are also facing this issue on our end. This is the query which I use:
"SELECT video.title, video.channel_id, video.resource_name, video.duration_millis, video.id FROM video"

This used to work and get all the video attributes from this `video` report, but it looks like from February on wards, no data is there in this report and I always get an empty result as mentioned in this thread. 

It would be great to have an update on this. 

Please let me know if any more info would be required to look into this. Thanks!

Is there any known issues again with this resource?

On our end, it looks like we have started facing the issues again. The video details are not being returned from the endpoint even when the data is present for the duration. I have mentioned the details regarding the API query that we are trying to make in the above messages.

Please let me know if any more info would be required to debug this.

Hi Anant,

The missing entities is likely due to this change, which was released in the API earlier this month. Would you please check the entities that are not being returned to ensure they are of the appropriate type?

And for context, this was initially an intended change that was released without proper communications. We asked the engineering team to roll it back so that we could give users proper notice via the previously linked blog post.

Hi.

After this change, it's not possible to obtain any information about video performance in app campaigns,  querying ad_group_asset doesn't return any information at all.

Could you explain how we can get video performance information again?

Hi Zhenya,

You can pull video information for app campaigns using various asset views (e.g. campaign asset view, ad group ad asset view). For example, you can use the ad group ad asset view and specify the field_type as YOUTUBE_VIDEO.
