Hi,

I would like to know how I can fetch details about one mobile application using it's id through any API service.

Thanks,

Hi Jofin,

I'm afraid that this is not supported via the AdWords API. Although it is possible to target an application using their AppIds, fetching the information of the said application other than the one's included in the MobileApplication object is not possible.

Let me know if the MobileApplication object was indeed what you were looking for.

Thanks and regards,

Hi Peter,

Thanks for your reply.

In my case, my campaign is of video type, so I will not be able to get MobileApplication object through AdGroupCriterionService. So I am using Criteria Performance report to get mobile apps linked with it and able to get Mobile app id, name. But the app URL is not available (play store URL) through Criteria Performance report.

Hi Jofin,

Did you already try to include the FinalAppUrls field in your select query for the Criteria Performance Report?

Hi Peter,

I tried FinalAppUrls field in select query for the Criteria Performance Report and it gave me '--' as response.

Single response object is given below,

{
  "adGroupID": "xxxxxxxxxxxx",
  "campaignID": "xxxxxxxxxxxxx",
  "keywordPlacement": "mobileapp::2-com.digivive.offdeck",
  "criteriaType": "Mobile Application",
  "keywordID": "296527506904",
  "isNegative": "false",
  "criteriaDisplayName": "Mobile App: nexGTv Live TV News Cricket (Google Play), by DigiVive Services Pvt. Ltd.",
  "appFinalURL": "--",
  "finalURL": "--",
  "finalURLSuffix": "--"
}

Thanks,

Hi Jofin,

My apologies for not mentioning this in my previous response, however, since you applied the MobileApplication criterion at the campaign level, then I'm afraid you would not be able to retrieve any FinalAppUrls information since the said field is not supported at the campaign level as seen here.

Thanks and regards,

Hi Peter,

Thank you for the information.

Here I have applied MobileApplication at the ad-group level.

As per my above response I am able to get mobile application details through ad-group criterion performance report except app URL.

Thanks,

Hi Jofin,

Given that you have applied it at the Ad Group level, you will still need to specify the FinalAppUrls using the AdGroupCriterionService before it can be returned in the AdWords API report.

Hi Jofin,

Sending a quick follow up to my previous statement. The recommendation I provided would only be applicable for ad groups of non-video campaign types since video campaigns (and associated objects) are not available for creation or modification via the AdWords API's services. However, you should be able to include the final app URLs via the Google Ads UI.

If you wish further assistance with the Google Ads UI, you can reach out to the product experts via the Google Ads Community Forum.

Hi Peter,

My concern is, since my campaign is of video type, I am not able to use AdGroupCriterionService class to fetch mobile app details, so I am using Criterion Report class where I am able to fetch app name, app Id etc but not app URL. I wanted to know is there any way to get app URL using Criterion Report class or any other service class.

Thanks,
