How to get asset group asset primary status?

Hello,

I would like to ask how to query for asset group primary status (see attached image) of Performance max campaign? I see there is a similar one for normal campaign ad group asset (called "ad_group_asset.primary_status") but cannot find that field for asset group asset.

For asset group asset, you can find the retrievable fields here: https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v14/AssetGroupAsset. For the status, here are the fields available:

• asset_group_asset.status - https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v14/AssetLinkStatusEnum.AssetLinkStatus
• policy_summary - asset_group_asset.policy_summary.approval_status - https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v14/PolicyApprovalStatusEnum.PolicyApprovalStatus

Then I would ask, how to get the "Status: Eligible" using API, from those asset group assets policy approval status? Because when we do a query for asset group assets, it will return all "assets with policy_summary.approval_status" with different value. How they are mapped to a single word "Eligible"?

Can you please provide us with an uncropped screenshot of the Google Ads UI that shows the data you are trying to obtain and the complete logs(request and response with request ID) of your API requests? This is so we can investigate further and provide insights and recommendations.

Hi Dan,

You may use the asset_group_asset.policy_summary.review_status field as it should give you status where in the review process the resource is. You may see following enums to be shown by API:

• ELIGIBLE_MAY_SERVE
• REVIEWED
• REVIEW_IN_PROGRESS
• UNDER_APPEAL

Also, a complete uncropped Ads UI screenshot should be helpful in viewing the data that you precisely looking to pull in the API. Any sensitive details should be shared with us reply privately to author option only.
