Hi,

I am adwords account manager over 8 years and I would like to build some automatic bid management platform according my PPC knowledge with optimization needs for my campaigns.

All this according my business rules.

I am thinking some simple kind of dashboard with adwords API integration to my adwords account.

(I have basic html knowledge, basic photoshop skills, and highly motivated learner)

My questions are:

1. Which languages would you suggest me to learn in order to start with API development.

JAVA, PHP or others that its supports?
I want to take course about it.

2. In order use/build some dashboard interface what do I need to learn? Or do I need to use a Google cloud services?

Can you please refer me to the references.

3. Do I need to learn an Angular?

Please help and advice.

thanks.

Hi Ron,

Using AdWords API will enable you to automate your processes. That said, it also requires dedicated engineering resources as the AdWords API goes through several new releases, deprecation and sunsets every year. You could review this document to understand some general guidelines to decide if it is right for you.

1. AdWords API has client libraries in various languages. You can find the complete set here. My suggestion is to go through each of these and choose one language based on your comfort level and interest.

2. Once you are comfortable with a specific programming language, you could refer to the specific client library and get started with the samples. Unfortunately, I will not be able to provide references specific to programming languages. If you face any issues while using the API, you could reach out to us and we will be able to help you resolve that issue.

3. Angular is not something that we support as part of the AdWords API. My suggestion is to make that decision based on the requirements of your tool/dashboard.

Thanks,
Sreelakshmi, AdWords API Team
