Mobile_Id Casing Format

Hi Team,

   I dont see a requirement mentioned in the Mobile_id upload template(attached) to convert the mobile_ids to lowercase in the file before uploading. Could you please confirm whether mobile_ids need to be converted to lower case(as apple ids and google ids are of different casing) before uploading via API call in java program?

Hello, 

There are no specific limitations on the Mobile Ids casing. You should be able to upload both IDFA or Google Advertising IDs without any issues. Please let me know if you're facing an issue.

I am not facing any errors but with lowercase my match display network member count were more when compared to without any casing conversion. So wanted to understand the reason behind it

Could you please confirm if you're seeing this discrepancy while uploading the lists with and without casing from the Google Ads UI? If yes, could you please share the request and response logs for the upload using Reply privately to author option.

This was sent over to me to double-check on this. I've never seen the case make a difference. The only limitation I know of on mobile device IDs is that they will only stay in the list for about about 540 days as members. Perhaps, the device IDs that you're getting come from a different source that isn't always correct; I can't think of a reason at the moment why case on its own would make a difference.
