reaching specific apps or app categories in the Display Network

Hi: 

     "reaching specific apps or app categories in the Display Network" , is there any adwords api support this function?

 

    I found  that Google APi team says that they does't support this funciton, below is the link of the discussion

  but i found another webpage, that says some tools can support this ,below is the link :

Can anyone help and tell me why? Is google support or not now? If not ,Why refer2 is ok?

Hello,

You can target specific apps and app categories using the MobileApplication and MobileAppCategory criteria, respectively.

For targeting mobile applications, please make sure to pay close attention to the rules for formatting the app id. For targeting mobile app categories, here is a list of all category IDs you can use in conjunction with the criterion.
